Wellbeing

The psychology session I created already (See Session Extra: The Happiness Lab) could be combined with a collaboration with the UAL mental health services. This is informed by what I learnt about the importance of embedding wellbeing in discipline and avoiding taking over from trained professionals and services. This also connects with other university programmes that have already proved effective.

This content could be delivered in vertical sessions with students from all three years of the course. This is informed by what I learnt about areas that need to be addressed – belonging and socialisation. For Year 1 this would combat ‘transition anxiety’, for years 2 and 3 strengthen community and confidence.

These sessions could be combined with other content related to student journey and all would be compulsory. (See blog post Co-Journey for more information) This is informed by what I learnt regarding the importance of wellbeing content needing to be at the centre of the curriculum.
