I found the blog challenging to keep up to date. I kept handwritten notes throughout, but it was difficult to find time to write it up at the beginning. I also found the lack of visual control over the blog difficult as ordering and moving round information helps me make sense of it. Lack of visual ownership over the blog and not having write-up time has made me feel a lack of control and anxiety that I was going to mess up something I cared about.
What I did
I created a plan on when to write-up and how I would engage with other people’s blogs. I communicated with Lindsay regarding my plans so that she would be aware when reviewing people’s blogs. I then switched over to a different blog style to improve communication.
What could I learn?
In the future, I need to try not to waste extra emotional energy over a situation when I’ve made a plan. Also, when designing assessment evidence formats it will be useful to remember the frustration and importance of visual ownership.
